Licensing & Activation

How do I get my license key after purchase?

It is emailed to you by Lemon Squeezy when your purchase is confirmed. Check your inbox and save that email — it also contains a View Order link you will need to manage your activations.

How do I activate the app?

Open FlipBlip, enter your license key on the first screen, and tap Unlock. The app activates immediately over the internet.

How many devices can I use with one license key?

Each license key supports up to 3 device activations.

How do I move to a new device or free up an activation slot?

Open the receipt email from your purchase, click View Order, find your license key, and click Deactivate next to the device you no longer use. The slot is freed immediately.

What happens if my device breaks and I can't deactivate it first?

Contact us through the support form at contact.flipblip.app and we will deactivate the old device from our end.

What happens if I lose my license key?

Open the receipt email from your purchase and click View Order to find your key. If you have lost the email contact us through the support form.

Will I get future updates?

Updates are delivered as new installer files via Lemon Squeezy. When an update is available you will receive an email with a download link. There is no automatic updater.

Data & Privacy

Where is my data stored?

All your business data is stored locally on your device only. FlipBlip does not have access to your data and nothing is stored on our servers.

Can I use the app without internet?

Yes. The app works fully offline. An internet connection is only needed for license validation (once every 30 days), Cal.com sync, and weather and map features if you use them.

What does Export All Data include?

A complete backup of your database including all clients, jobs, quotes, invoices, recurring clients, visit history, photos, logo, and settings. This is the file to use when setting up a new device.

What is the difference between Export All Data and Export New Changes?

Export All Data is a full backup for setting up a new device. Export New Changes only exports records that have changed since your last backup, for faster ongoing sync between devices.

How do I move my data from Android to Windows or vice versa?

Use Export All Data on the source device, transfer the file to the other device, and use Import / Restore Data. Your data, photos, and settings will all transfer.

Will I lose my data if I uninstall the app?

Yes. Your data is stored locally and uninstalling removes it. Always export a backup before uninstalling.

Features

Do I need Cal.com to use the app?

No. Cal.com is optional. The core features — leads, jobs, quotes, invoices, recurring clients, field notes, and backup — all work without it. Cal.com adds online booking and calendar sync.

What are the BYOK services and do I have to use them?

BYOK (bring your own keys) services are free third-party tools that power optional features: LocationIQ for maps and routing, WeatherAPI for job site weather, OCR.space for receipt scanning, and Cal.com for online booking. None are required. You only need to set them up if you want those features.

How do Field Notes work?

Field Notes use a simple shorthand format. Write a label (DONE, FOUND, NEXT, NOTES, or SUPPLIES) then write your notes below it. When you attach the notes to a job each section routes to the right field automatically. Great for transcribing handwritten job site notes.

What is the Quick Start library?

A pre-built collection of service items and packages specific to your trade. Add items to your personal library in one tap, then use them to build quotes and packages without typing everything from scratch.

How do recurring clients work?

Add a recurring client with their flat rate, schedule, and property details. Log each visit, send invoices, and track visit history all from one card. Revenue and margins from recurring clients are tracked separately on the dashboard.

Can I send invoices from the app?

Yes. Generate a PDF invoice and share it via your device's share sheet — email, text, WhatsApp, or save to your device.

How does margin tracking work?

When you log supply costs on a job, the app compares the supply cost against the job total to calculate your margin. Margin is shown per job and averaged on the dashboard so you can see how profitable your work actually is.

Can my clients pay me through the booking page?

Yes if you connect Stripe to your Cal.com account. Cal.com handles all payment processing — clients pay when they book and you receive the funds through Stripe. No additional setup needed in FlipBlip.

Booking & Cal.com

How do I set up online booking?

Create a free Cal.com account, generate a personal API key, and paste it into the Cal.com API Key field on your Profile tab. Then set up your booking types and availability in the Schedule tab.

Do my clients get booking confirmations?

Yes. Cal.com automatically sends a booking confirmation email when someone books. On the free Cal.com plan this is the default template. Custom SMS reminders and follow-up workflows are available on paid Cal.com plans.

How do I collect a deposit or payment at booking?

Connect your Stripe account in the Cal.com app store and set a price on any booking type. Cal.com and Stripe handle all payment processing.
